In order to help me fully understand this disease, I had to do a lot of research. Since I've had this disease, since I've been 18 and I am now 57 I figured that it had to be what we do every day and that is eating. As my willpower is not the best, I have to come to the conclusion that if I didn't change my way of eating that I would be suffering with this for the rest of my life. This is why I would love for you to view these movies as they have helped me to better understand what exactly is in our foods and why many of us are allergic to the chemicals in our foods.
You're probably thinking, all this is just another weird diet, but I want you to think of this as a way of life in order to make your life better than it is today.When watching the movie Forks over Knives they base their diet and success on eating a plant based diet. This would include plants, primarily fruits, vegetables, whole grains, tubers, and legumes. It excludes or minimizes animal-based foods such as meat (including poultry and fish), dairy, and eggs, as well as refined foods like bleached flour, refined sugar, and oil.
As this is going to take time for all of you to switch to a more healthy way of eating, if you do as I did and start with baby steps eventually you see your Skin clearing up and you will begin to make other eating changes that will help you to feel better, have more energy and you'll be able to have less flareups with this disease.
